Since the takeover by symphony and merger with Buttercross it's been more than ridiculous in simply phoning them make an appointment. I held for 3mins 3 times over a period of 10mins and still the phone wasn't answered. This is simply not good enough. There now seems to be less staff to deal with more patients!!
Already the quality of care has diminished hugely. Cannot contact Ilchester directly. Staff levels reduced prescription ordering service not working spent 25 mins trying to get a phone order. Had to drive up there (to Somerton) only to be told there were only 2 people on duty. I left Somerton because of Symphony policies and extremely poor service. They have already ruined a brilliant surgery in Ilchester. Cannot contact Ilchester surgery directly.
Confusing.
Not kept waiting on phone for 5 minutes just to make an appointment.
Last week it took me 45 just to get through and don't want to explain to a non-medical person what my problem is.
The staff at Ilchester know me well enough to know I only ask when I need to.
I rang the surgery which was diverted to Buttercross, and spoke to the receptionist, explaining I am at crisis point. She put me on hold, then returned to ask me to phone again in the morning, to which I replied "okay if I'm still alive then" . She answered "okay thank you" and hung up.
I can't make any constructive sugsestions for this sorry.
